A Chengresi Statue displays four arms to illustrate its capacity for helping countless people. Usually, one hand holds a lotus flower indicating purity and a second holds a mala of prayer beads symbolizing devotion to repetition of mantras. The other two hands may be clasped around a jewel for signifying wisdom and a crystal rosary signifying commitment to the welfare of all living things.
