Founded in 2021 by Prateek Shrestha, Himalayas Shop is dedicated to offering a wide range of spiritual handmade crafts from Nepal. Based in Sydney, Australia, Himalayas Shop aims to enhance your spiritual journey with exquisite items such as Singing Bowls, Thangka paintings, Tibetan prayer flags, prayer wheels, and spiritual bead jewelry. Each piece reflects the rich cultural heritage and deep spiritual symbolism of Kathmandu, Nepal.
Our Story
Himalayas Shop was established to be one of the trusted online source for authentic Himalayan handicrafts.
After completing his studies and gaining work experience, Prateek felt a lack of deeper connection in his professional life. His journey began with creating a website for his father's business in Nepal, Lucky Thanka. Since 2015, Prateek has been promoting Thangka paintings through websites, exhibitions, and various events, fascinated by the profound spiritual meanings and the universal concept of oneness. This passion led him to expand his horizons, ultimately founding Himalayas Shop in 2021 to share a broader range of Himalayan handicrafts.
Operating from a small garage, Prateek’s vision grew, and with the support of his sister, Prathana Shrestha, who directly collaborates with craftsmen in Nepal, Himalayas Shop has flourished. Their father, Narayan Krishna Shrestha, has been spreading Thangka art globally for 42 years, inspiring the next generation to share the beauty of Himalayan crafts with the world and support local artisans.
